New levels of service at Porcupine

Porcupine Press has developed a reputation for offering a high quality modular publishing service. What does ‘modular’ mean? In a nutshell, it means we don’t offer packages, but a range of services from which our writers can customise their special requirements.

Now, in a further response to the needs of writers who wish to self-publish, Porcupine is offering three different levels of our modular services. Here they are:

1.      Starter (DIY Publishing) – Own Imprint
Choosing this affordable option allows authors to get their work into print and distributed both locally and internationally via print-on-demand technologies. This option combines basic design elements with a low-cost distribution option, which makes it ideal for the production of family books, poetry and books not professionally edited or proofed.

2.      Basic (African Narratives Imprint)
Porcupine Press has designed this option especially for authors who cannot afford our professional publishing services. This option includes a risk sharing arrangement for books likely to be successful in the market. It also involves the author in the marketing and sale of her/his own book.

3.      Professional (Porcupine Imprint)
This option is suitable for authors who are serious about self-publishing and would like to have their book professionally published, marketed and distributed for the commercial market.

Also available are e-book conversions and marketing options, as well as a professional business production and distribution service for magazines, business reports, etc. Porcupine Press can reprint previously published books with new covers, additions, new ISBN number, or whatever is needed.

For more information, enquire via our website www.porcupinepress.co.za or telephone 011-7914561.
